Fun Halloween Weddings

The idea of a Halloween Wedding is a little scary itself. A couple can easily take the theme overboard and end up with more of a Halloween Party than a once in a lifetime event. However, there are some ways to take Halloween from tacky to classy and still have a lot of fun!

When people think of Halloween they often think of ghosts, ghouls, and candy.  However, there are many ways to turn Halloween into an elegant canvas for a wedding.  Incorporate orange and black into the wedding parties’ attire by mixing up the socks, bouquets or boutonnieres to add a slice of Halloween to a ceremony that’s a little outside the box.

The reception venue can be transformed into fall by incorporating leaves, pumpkins, and local flowers.

If orange and black isn’t for you, white pumpkins can add the Halloween touch at the reception.

Adding little Halloween details throughout, from the place cards to the cake, are all ways to bring together a Halloween Wedding without going overboard. Just keep the elements tasteful and minimal and you are sure to have a fun and classy Halloween event.

Beach Wedding Inspiration

Although it may be starting to cool down with Fall in full swing, Beach Weddings are always a popular topic!

When we think of beach weddings, soft sand, sunsets, and a gorgeous ocean background come to mind.  Often a romantic venue for a ceremony, beaches can be a site for noisy on lookers and swimmers.  Be sure to pick an intimate ceremony space, on a secluded part of the beach, or plan for a later ceremony to reduce the amount of unwanted guests.  Light and bright colors complete the fun and casual ceremony on the beach!

Having an outdoor ceremony and reception might be ideal for a beach themed wedding, but not always necessary.  With the addition of candles, light flowers, seashells, starfish, and a little bit of sand, any venue can be turned into the picture perfect beach for the evening.

Adding simple touches of décor throughout the reception venue will help guests feel as though they are on the beach.

Themed place cards and card boxes are a unique touch that will further immerse your guests into paradise.  Try adding starfish, seashells, or little lounge chairs to the place cards.

Most importantly try and keep the day casual enough so that guests don’t mind a little wind in their hair or sand in their shoes!
